Agency
Yesterday we had a discussion on Agency at our Thursday morning meeting. If you were not there – you missed a good talk. Try to come to these meetings. Plan on coming every week at 9:00 – 10:00 at the 200 West Academy office; it will be the exception to NOT meet. We can learn from these discussions, become a closer knit group and continue to establish a culture of top notch service to our community.
A short recap of yesterday’s Agency discussion can be found in the ABC’s of Agency and our existing policies in WRE Policy’s and Procedures. I will need to add Designated Agency to the policy. As discussed in the ABC’s brochure, designated agency is when both sides of the transaction are in a client relationship with two agents in a brokerage.
Dual agency is allowed by Georgia law and by our company policy but it can be very tricky. We have a very specific policy regarding Dual Agency.
