Generate leads from your Gym Membership

Leads are critical to success in real estate. One way to generate more leads is from your hobby. While participating you need to take the mindset that you are working!

A great example is a gym membership. Join a gym! Not only do you become healthier it’s a leads goldmine. The goal is to let everyone know who you are and what you do! It’s a great place to build relationships over time and when they or their friend is looking to sell or buy, you should be the first person on their mind.

Here are a few ideas. First, have car tags and magnetic signs on your car. Park in a good place where your car is noticed. Let members associate you with your company and what business you are in before they even walk in the gym.

Inside, be nice. Say hello to everyone. If they are busy exercising just smile or wave. Wear clothing with your company name. Your goal is to let everyone associate you with Real Estate.

Naturally, as you become more known, ask members if they ever know anyone wanting to buy or sell to please tell them about you or just let you know. Keep cards handy and if they ask give them 2 or 3 cards so they can hand out.

Whenever you can, get on social media with other members. What better way for a Realtor to build leads than to talk to people who have the same interests?

Talk to the staff, especially the person at the front desk. Let them know what you do in case they hear of someone wanting to buy or sell. Always learn their name and speak to them when arriving and when leaving.

Go to the gym at different times of the day. People work out at typically the same time, but it may not be the same time as you. It’s important to stagger your workout times and even go on different days. Heck, go every day if you want more leads.

There are lots of ways to build your real estate business. The key is making each one of them work for you. A gym membership is just one of many good ways to create lead generation and become successful. Take advantage of it!
